Aileen Hutchins: Rear Commodore
From May to July, there are social events on the calendar. Some, like the “LobsterFest” and the Luau, are RSVP occasions. Others are informal dinners, after evening racing or parties after a regatta. Most of all, the deck, with its panoramic views across the Cove and Captain’s Harbor, is available for casual cook-out style dining. The Club house is not available for personal functions and may not be reserved for any event that is not a club event.
"Leave the clubhouse and surroundings better than how you found it." Food scraps invite racoons. Please wipe down the grills, tables and stack chairs. When using the grills, be sure to turn off the gas and close the valve on the tanks.
Be considerate of fellow members who also want to have dinner. Confine your guests and belongings to ONE table on the deck. Use the sand area if you require more space. Children are welcome but ONLY if parents supervise. Children should not be indoors unless supervised by a parent or guardian.
Our club picnic is September 11th. The picnic is free to members, but only if you register and sign up to help on the registration. Guests may attend for a nominal fee.
The Club Fall Clean is October 16th. It is very important to have enough help to put the club to bed for the winter, so please mark your calendar early.
We urgently need volunteers for storm committee. Please contact Will Morrison if you are available to help this week to prepare the clubhouse and fleet.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact Aileen Hutchins at 203-536-4029.
