Greenwich Community Sailing

OGYC has sponsored the extraordinarily popular Greenwich Community Sailing (GCS) program since 1998. It is open to all Greenwich residents with a proper Greenwich beach pass.

This program makes it easy for sailors and kayakers to participate in on-the-water activities and provides top-notch instruction for adults and children – including CT Safe Boating Certificate courses. Kayak and sailboat rentals are also available.

The magnificent Greenwich coastline should be experienced by all Greenwich residents and their guests. Enjoy extraordinary views while exploring small inlets and islands within the protection of Greenwich Cove, or venture out toward the Sound.

GCS offers a wide range of courses for entry level to advanced sailors, kayak adventurers and juniors to help you get there. Private lessons are available, and there is a cooperative sailing and tennis program for the juniors.

The Sailing Center is located beyond the OGYC Clubhouse in the Chimes Building at Tod’s Point.

Visit the Greenwich Community Sailing website to see the programs, schedules, and fees.
